Reimagining the ethereal beauty of the Aurora Australis over Tasmania's Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake. This vivid piece was inspired by the stunning photographs shared with me by Brogan, the manager of the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery. This work transforms that beauty and concept into my own personal visual celebration, recreated in my imaginative style. Amongst the bushland, a small wombat stands quietly – its curious gaze lifted toward the sky, bridging the earthbound with the lights of Cradle above.
Having witnessed some breathtaking auroras, especially last year - I felt inspired to create a painting capturing this stunning cosmic phenomenon that Tasmania is so fortunate to experience.
